    When the Frisco withdrew from its operation of the Texas Special between St Louis and and Vinita, OK on January 5, 1959, the Frisco found itself with a surplus of 12 year old, light weight passenger cars. It removed the old heavyweight, section Pullmans, and replaced them with its 14-4 lightweight sleepers from the Texas Special. Likewise, the heavyweight chair cars were replaced with the former Texas Special lightweight chair cars. As can be seen on the Public Timetable folder, the Frisco worded carefully that all “passenger-carrying cars are lightweight and streamlined. The head-end cars remained heavyweight.
