The black-and-white photo below is reproduced from the booklet “Railroads at Work,” published for children by the Association of American Railroads. It’s the kind of thing railroads would include when they responded to my written requests for information about their trains. Hopefully–and usually–they’d also include a timetable and the other “real” information that I wanted.
