The photo below is not a part of the brochure, but an Audio-Visual Designs post card. The caption reads, “Union Pacific’s dome-lounge No. 9000 brings up the rear of the 13-car “City of Los Angeles” at Hermosa, Wyo., October 16, 1955. Union Pacific would soon begin running mid-train these beautiful observation lounge cars. I still love to look out the back of trains and spend long periods on Amtrak journeys standing at the window of the last car.
